WILLIAM - Austin
6 yr old gray male

My name is WILLIAM and I am a handsome, fun-loving gray Weimaraner.  My foster family says I am the perfect houseguest because even though I am crate trained, I don't require one when left alone.  I don't counter surf or beg for food either.  Instead, I prefer to simply lay in the same room as my foster mom as she cooks.  I am house trained and know how to use a doggy door.  I walk well on a leash - even in big crowds of people, and I get along with dogs of all sizes and kinds.  I am even good with kids.  I do need to work on jumping when greeting you, but I know together, we can take care of this!  I do promise to still give you weimie kisses as part of my greeting!  I love to cuddle with my foster family while they watch tv.  If you will allow it, I will cuddle with you while you sleep and keep you warm.  One of my favorite activities is to chase squirrels in the backyard!  I am not really a barker unless the doorbell rings, but how else would you know someone was at the door?!  My foster family enjoys watching me sit like a human and thinks it's funny when I army-crawl just to be closer to someone.

I did come into rescue with Winston and currently live with 2 foster sisters, so a dog companion in the home would be a plus.

If you are looking for a calmer guy who has great house manners, ask about me!  Please consider giving me a forever home.

Please ask about WILLIAM when you contact Weimaraner Rescue of North Texas.
