Hello!  My name is WINNIE and I am a beautiful gray Weimaraner.  I am a special girl at Rescue because I was used as a breeding dog previously and I came into Rescue with bad eye issues.  My eyes produced NO tears.  Could you imagine not being able to wet your own eyes?  I had surgery, parotid duct transposition, which moved saliva glands to my eyes (isn't that amazing?!) so now I have tears and feel a lot better.  My foster mom says that I am a perfect angel when she gives me my drops, which I need daily, so no need to worry about that!  Despite my eye problems and past, my eye doctor says I see almost perfectly now, and I have a sweet nature and a calm demeanor

I am house trained and crate trained.  I have some obedience training too, so that is a plus!  I am not good around other big dogs as they move fast, and I don't like it.  I am a lower-energy girl who prefers cuddling next to you for movie night or just snuggling.

My ideal new family would let me be their only girl, would make sure to put my daily eye drops in as directed, and would snuggle with me diligently.  Little kids wouldn't be my pick, but older ones would be great!  Would you consider giving me a forever new home?

Our rescue Weimaraners are current on all vaccinations and heartworm preventative. They are spayed or neutered, and micro-chipped or tattooed and registered with Tattoo-A-Pet. The adoption donation is $300.00 for adult Weimaraners, $350.00 for puppies, and $200.00 for seniors, special needs dogs and Weimaraner-mix dogs.
